Angelina Jolie is reportedly in talks to star in the new drama “Gucci,” which is about the fashion dynasty to be directed by Ridley Scott.
“Variety” indicated that the flick, which will begin shooting next year, focus on a famous fashion family stricken by scandal and murder. Angelina Jolie will play the role of Patrizia Reggiano, the former wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for arranging Gucci’s 1995 murder.
It is uncertain who is going to play Maurizio as Ridley Scott approached Leonardo DiCaprio about the part but he is still not attached to the project. As soon as a deal is stuck, Angelina will star in “The Tourist,” production will likely take place in early 2010 before Gucci filming begins.
