Angelina Jolie attempts to harden her son Maddox’s feet whenever they return to his native Cambodia by making him walk around without shoes on.
The 32-year-old actress admits her eldest son isn’t always happy to go native when he goes ‘home,’ but Angelina Jolie thinks it’s important young Maddox lives the Cambodian experience.
The actress explained, “When we go to Cambodia I always say, ‘Take our shoes off,’ and we walk across the rocks. There was a time he would whine about little things like that and I’ll say, ‘Everybody in Cambodia can walk with bare feet. They get tough Cambodian feet.’ So the two of us will take our shoes off and walk across the rocks and go eat a cricket.”
