Alexa Ray Joel, who is the 23-year-old daughter of the singer Billy Joel, was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital in NYC Saturday and now she is reportedly in a stable condition after a possible drug overdose.
A representative confirmed that Alexa was admitted, and doctors are assessing the situation. The representative added that there are no further comment on the incident.
According to a report, she allegedly took a large number of sleeping pills in what police consider a suicide attempt. Her roommate called police just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Her father Billy Joel is currently at his home in Oyster Bay, Long Island.
