David Archuleta was spotted as he signed his new CD Christmas From the Heart in a small book store near his home in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday.

The American Idol runner-up returned to his home state of Utah, rehearsing for his November 24 and 25 Christmas concerts at Abravanel Hall.

Meanwhile, a poster suggested that David will have a virtual concert on November 20 in a planet cozmo site. david also posted a new video blog entitled “Back home, Meet Katsu and Tsuki.”

David Archuleta talked about his new album, branching out into songwriting and the reason why he enjoys Christmas in Vegas.

On the reason why Christmas music in his second studio album, David thought that it is the kind of music that he has always enjoyed because it is such a special time and season for him.

On working on a new album, David is writing for his next pop album and thought it was fun to be involved in the writing. More of his personality will be in his music, which includes the lyrics and melody as he became more expressive with the music.

Christmas is a special time for quality time. David and his family went to Las Vegas together last year for Christmas. They spent time together just watching movies and playing games and stuff.

David Archuleta made the most of his impressive 50-minute set on his joint tour with Demi Lovato on November 1 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The “American Idol” alum, who was backed by a four-piece band, went through songs from his self-titled debut album. During the time he sang “Your Eyes Don’t Lie,” he allowed the crowd to take over the whistling since he’s “not the best” at it.

After performance, he made small engaging moments with the audience as he asked the crowd what they were for Halloween. Another highlight was his performance of “Apologize,” where he sat at his piano, spotlight fixed on him, and belted the tune with his smooth, haunting voice.

David Archuleta updated his fans through his blog and revealed that he is in New Hampshire right now for the last 3 shows with Demi Lovato this week.

The “American Idol” alum described the pretty gloomy weather and how he brush up on the songs on the rehearsals after a few months he performed. On being a speaker, he shared how nervous and little excited he was during the morning session for the Utah Women’s Conference.

He added that his back doesn’t feel very good after running through a treadmill but he hopes that he could move around better tomorrow. As for his Halloween costume, he did not have anything in mind but maybe he will be in the mood for it soon.

David Archuleta updated his fans on his YouTube channel while in New York, talking about progress on his second album and working with Jeymes Samuel.

The “American Idol” alum admitted that he can’t really get into detail about what’s been going on but he was really excited and he can’t wait for the fans to hear some of the stuff that he had been working on.

Meanwhile, David will perform at Hill Auditorium on the
campus of the University of Michigan with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra (A2SO) on November 27 at 8 p.m. This will be the third stop on Archuleta’s tour which will feature a program of Christmas favorites and Archuleta originals.

In the interview, David Archuleta dished some details: he planned on doing a Spanish CD, few of his favorite Chrismas tradition is going to his Grandpa’s house to have dinner and a family talent show, he picked P90X exercise stuff because it works his entire body and Battlefield is one of his favorite song to jam in the car.

Another details: he earned his nickname Lechuga because he loves lettuce, he likes most on being famous is getting to do music, travel, meet new people and getting to sing and the highlights of his past year includes the tour, which is a big highlight, and chances of going to different places and meet some of the people.

James Jeffrey Archuleta, who is the father of American Idol runner-up David, filed for divorce from his wife Lupe Marie, a month after he was busted in a massage parlor.

Stating irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, the estranged couple will share joint physical custody of their three minor children. They initially agreed that Lupe would pay approximately $349 a month in child support, aside from splitting the additional cost of raising their kids. They will sell the house in Murray, Utah and split the proceeds.

The couple had previously filed for divorce in 2002 but reconciled soon after David Archuleta placed first in the Star Search competition.

David Archuleta will start his Christmas tour from November 24 as he will treat fans with hit singles from his self-titled album and new materials from “Christmas from the Heart.”

the “American Idol” alum will have at least 19 confirmed live concerts. Aside from his Christmas set, David will work on a pop album and he has started recording session for the album last summer while he was touring with Demi Lovato.

David Archuleta, who checked in as he took a break from a writing session in Nashville, updated fans on his Youtube channel on October 12.

The “American Idol” alum is set to go on a Christmas tour in support of the CD, with tickets going on sale soon. He revealed that he could not wait for the fans to listen to his album and his tour will include Christmas tunes and song from his debut album.

The tickets for the show wiill go on sale on Oct. 23 at ArtTix site. Also, a rumor had sparked that David is only doing 12 to 15 shows for his tour.

Meanwhile, David ’s autographed quilt throw and pillow with CD are up for auction on eBay. This will benefit Rising Star Outreach and the money will b used to furnish a school for the children of India.
