Although Kiefer Sutherland is reportedly looking at only a minor assault charge for his alleged scuffle in New York this week, authorities in Los Angeles may come down even harder on him.

Sutherland, who’s currently serving a five-year probation term in Los Angeles for his second DUI conviction, may have violated those terms, which clearly state the actor must “obey all laws.”

“Our office intends to contact the NYPD and New York prosecutors to review the incident and determine whether Mr. Sutherland violated probation,” L.A. City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan tells PEOPLE.

A probation violation often means a return to jail. Sutherland previously spent 48 days in jail on the conviction.

“If Sutherland’s found in violation of probation for battery, and if he was intoxicated at the time, he could very well be sentenced to another 48 days or more,” says Steve Sitkoff, an L.A. criminal defense attorney not involved with the case.

The 24 star, who allegedly headbutted a fashion designer at a party early Tuesday, will surrender to New York authorities to face a third-degree assault charge, the New York Daily News reports.

The actor will be issued a desk appearance for the misdemeanor, with no jail term and no restrictions on travel before his arraignment, reports the Daily News, citing a law enforcement source.

He added: “We have a female President in season seven. You have a 52% population of women and we can clearly see it is just a matter of time before we have a female President.”

He hasn’t seen him for ten years… Jack’s on his travels and he comes to see Carl and hang out with him and potentially change his life.”

He joked: “I can’t tell you anymore or Jack Bauer’ll come and kill me – and you!”

Jon Voight, who added the list of new celebrities in “24” film, is in town to talk about his role as a baddie in the two-hour special. He also expressed his excitement over the birth of the twins his daughter Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt recently welcomed.

The actor, whose relationship with his daughter Angelina Jolie has been known to be unstable, added: “All my love goes to them. I was very excited. It’s a big deal. How many people have seen little tiny twins in their lives?”

Kiefer Sutherland left Fearne Cotton red-faced when she caught him in his underwear.

The “24” actor was using the unisex toilets backstage at the Princess Diana Memorial Concert in London earlier this month when Fearne Cotton burst through the unlocked door.

She revealed, “Kiefer told me very calmly that the lock on the door didn’t work. He offered to stand outside so I could use it without anyone walking in. He was a true gent.”

She added, “But it has to be one of my most embarrassing moments ever.”

Kiefer Sutherland will be a guest at this summer’s memorial concert for Britain’s Princess Diana.

The star of ‘24′ is to make a speech at the Concert for Diana, which takes place at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 1.

The star-studded concert will be held on what would have been Diana’s 46th birthday and marks the 10th anniversary of her death.

Diana’s sons Princes William, 24, and 22-year-old Harry personally selected the impressive line-up for the musical extravaganza. Performers include Sir Elton John, Take That, Lily Allen, Kanye West and Will Young.

The concert will also feature Status Quo and Roy Hodgson from 70s band Supertramp, two of Diana’s favourite bands. The first 22,500 Concert for Diana tickets sold out in minutes of their release in December, and a further 10,000 tickets were snapped up just as fast when they went on sale in April.
The event will be broadcast all over the world. Proceeds from the concert will go to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, homelessness charity Centrepoint and Sentebale, which helps Aids orphans in Lesotho, Africa.

The executive producer on the project would be East Side President Maggie Murphy.
