David Cook’s Single Nabbed Song of the Year At Nashville Music Awards

David Cook’s hit “Time of My Life” took Song of the Year honors at the Nashville Music Awards Wednesday night.

The “American Idol” champ’s winning single was written by Nashville songwriter Reggie Hamm. After a nine-year absence, the Nashville Music Awards made a welcome return Wednesday night to honor the best in locally made music.

Meanwhile, tickets has tacked more fall shows onto David’s in-progress run behind his self-titled debut album. The North American excursion continues Oct. 9 in Clifton Park, NY, Oct. 10 in Providence, RI, Oct. 11 in Charlottesville, VA, Oct. 13 in Richmond, VA, Oct. 15 in North Myrtle Beach, SC, Oct. 16 in Greensboro, NC, Oct. 17 in Columbia, SC and Oct. 18 in Perry, GA.
