The autopsy of DJ AM was finished on Saturday but the results are inconclusive, according to a report.
The office of New York City Medical Examiner expressed that further tests are needed to know the official cause of death. Those toxicology tests could take several weeks to complete.
The autopsy was completed one day after the 36-year-old DJ was found dead in his NYC apartment. A crack pipe and prescription pills were also found in the apartment, according to the Associated Press.
A law enforcement official said that the investigation was ongoing and no information about the medication was released.
