While the process of identifying the cause of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s death is still ongoing, a police source revealed that the celebrity DJ has sent his last text message to two friends at 1 a.m.
The text message is about his scheduled Las Vegas gig that very Friday night at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel but he never made it.
Sixteen hours after the celebrity DJ sent his text message, a friend called 911 because Goldstein did not answer his cellphone and his traveling companions could reach him during the time of his flight.
A police source said that the NYPD found the lifeless Goldstein in bed, wearing sweatpants and a crack pipe nearby. A half bag of crack cocaine and prescription drugs were also found. The initial autopsy proved “inconclusive ” more tests, including a toxicology report that might require weeks, would be performed.
