Mariah Carey was honored for her “breakthrough” acting performance in the Lee Daniels film, “Precious” at the Palm Springs Film Festival’s Gala Dinner on January 5.
The singer accepted her award for Breakthrough Actress and her acceptance speech showed that she was drunk. Mariah confirmed the intoxication, which was greeted with laughter and applause. She also revealed that she is very grateful and she thanked everyone who was listening to her little “spiel.”
Her husband Nick Cannon was not in the attendance. Meanwhile, Mariah previously freaked out host Carson Daly and handed out popsicles during her July 2001 surprise appearance on TRL.
