Rapper Jay-Z performed to a SRO crowd in Madison Square Garden on Friday night (September 11) in the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in the Twin Towers.
Other celebrities, who joined him, were Sean Diddy Combs, Pharrell, John Mayer, Mary J. Blige, Kid Cudi, Santigold and Beyoncé. The proceeds of the concert will benefit families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attack.
Jay-Z revealed that he saw the strength and resiliency of the New Yorkers. And the musician declared that they stood in New York eight years later even stronger. DJ Biz Markie was also there to warm the audience up.
