Johnny Depp Will Be On New ‘Pirates’ Film In 2011

Johnny Depp dropped into Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Friday in full swashbuckling garb style as Jack Sparrow.

The actor sailed onstage Friday on a pirate ship to announce his forthcoming installment of Disney’s blockbuster film franchise and the audience welcomed him with a standing ovation. He quipped in his presentation that he is looking for a talking frogs.

Depp will reprise his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” slated for summer of 2011. It’s the fourth in a series. He is also set to play Tonto in “The Lone Ranger.”
