Kate Middleton Turned Down Royal Invitation To Pre-Christmas Lunch
December 28th, 2009Kate Middleton reportedly turned down an invitation to pre-Christmas lunch with the Royal family, which was her first formal festive invitation, at Buckingham Palace.
The brunette beauty and her royal boyfriend were worried the extra attention would put too much pressure on their romance. Turning down the invitation was not meant to snub the Queen, who seemed to understand how the couple felt, but if Kate attended then it would have caused too much disruption.
The Queen hosts the early Christmas party for all members of the family not invited to her Sandringham estate in Norfolk for the Christmas day celebration.
