Kate Middleton’s Garden Plan Was Shelved By Local Council

The family of Kate Middleton planned a massive conversion of their back paddock that might impress the would-be royal in-laws but the plan were squashed by a local council.

The plan, which would quadruple their existing garden into a self-sufficient vegetable patch and orchard, was shelved by the West Berkshire District Council because it could lead to undesirable development”. Their plans are compared to Prince Charles’s organic estate at Highgrove.

Prince William, Kate’s boyfriend, famously landed an RAF Chinook helicopter in the 1.5-acre paddock. The royal is a regular visitor at his long-term girlfriend’s family home.
