Michael Jackson Became 2009 Most Popular Search Term
December 2nd, 2009Michael Jackson dethroned Britney Spears as his name became the most popular search term at Google, Yahoo! and Bing.
The late singer leads the annual Top 10 search results at Yahoo! for the previous four years, followed by Britney Spears in the fifth place. Michael Jackson also became Google’s list of fastest-rising searches this year as well as one of the top three search topics on Bing.
Michael Jackson died on June 25 in Los Angeles. Investigation was made after his death as it focused on unlawful prescriptions of the powerful anesthetic.
