Michael Jackson’s glove, which was worn by the late singer when he first staged the famous moonwalk dance at the 1983 Motown 25 television special, was sold at $350,000 after its opening bid of $10,000.
The rhinestone-studded white glove, which was sold in a New York auction on Saturday, was included in the Jackson memorabilia. The lucky bidder turned out to be Hong Kong businessman Hoffman Ma.
The Hong Kong businessman will pay $420,000 for the iconic glove — a price that he considered a bargain. He bought the glove on behalf of the Ponte 16 Resort Hotel in Macau.
