Prince William planned to give a dog to his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton for Christmas.

The 27-year-old prince reportedly asked gamekeepers at Sandringham to look for a chocolate brown hound from the royal estate’s bloodline for Kate. A source claimed that the prince is hoping that Kate will be thrilled with his gift.

The couple are going to spend months apart next year since Prince William is busy with his training as an air sea rescue pilot and Kate is learning portrait photography. The source added that Prince William wanted Kate to have something to remember him by.
