Randy Jackson, who is the American Idol judge, react to the fact that Ellen did not have musical background or toughness to be a judge. He thought Ellen could be the voice of the people, like someone from public on panel.
On the toughest Idol guest judges, Randy did not know if anyone was really tough since it is hard for artist to be tough when they remember what it was like to come up. He thought that it is important to be truthful and honest.
On the lack of nurturing voice for the contestants without Paula, randy said that they could get some from Ellen because Simon goes for the jugular, to the excitement of a lot of people.
