Simon Cowell, who gave the “American Idol” some of the sharpest moments, confirmed he will leave the hit TV singing contest after this season.
The British judge revealed that it would be difficult for him to do “American Idol” and “The X Factor.” It was reported that “The X Factor” will join Fox’s schedule next year and Simon will serve as a judge and executive producer of the talent show.
He admitted that he was offered a lot of money to stay on the show but he wanted to do something different and a new challenge. As for Simon’s possible replacements, Peter Rice, chairman of entertainment for Fox, admitted that they have to take time on that because they make sure the chemistry of the judges is as good as it can be.
