The man, who allegedly attacked Leona Lewis in the face at a book signing, was once rejected by the X-Factor.
Peter Kowalczyk, who police have charged with assault, reportedly envied Lewis for winning the reality show. An aspiring singer, he had queued to be on the show but failed to be entered.
Meanwhile, Leona Lewis revealed that she was “extremely hurt and upset.” Although she was sorry that she wasn’t able to meet at the signing, she thanked the fans for their support.
