David Letterman’s lover was named as a blonde former intern who lived with the man who allegedly blackmailed the talk show host.
Stephanie Birkitt, who is Letterman’s former assistant, is reportedly one of the show’s employees with whom Letterman admitted to have relationship with. She was believed to gone into hiding.
Her relationship with Letterman ended in 2003. Birkitt reportedly linked to Robert Halderman, who has been charged with blackmailing the talk show host and demanding $2.3 million to keep his silence over Letterman’s sexual affairs. The plot was exposed after TV host admitted on the air that he had relationships with female staffers on his show.
