Prince William will be having his first official overseas trip in place of the Queen as he hopes to travel to New Zealand in the new year.
The young royal is due to visit Australia, perhaps as early as January, Clarence House aides wanted him to visit New Zealand as part of his trip. A visit to Africa is also a part of his plan before he finishes his RAF training.
The Queen appeared to be passing more Royal duties to her family, which Prince William sees it as an honor to carry out an official duty. And the prince is ready to embrace his duty.
