A report suggested that the Queen will hand over a substantial part of her public duties to Prince William. This will help the 27-year-old prince to prepare himself for the day when he becomes a King based on a leaked confidential document.
The documents confirmed that the Queen is grooming Prince William as a ‘Shadow King’ as well as stressed the key role of the young royal: he will spend a significant part of his time on official engagements so a necessary provisions are needed.
It is believed that Queen believes Prince William represents the best long-term interests of the monarchy rather than Prince Charles. Perhaps this will spark questions on the timing of anticipated engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
