Usher announced on Wednesday that he and fiancé Tameka Foster are expecting their first child together.

The couple said in a statement, “We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together. We hope people will be happy for us and respect our privacy during this happy period in our lives.”

The baby is expected in the fall, according to a representative for Usher. This would be the first child for the R&B crooner and actor, and the fourth for the recently divorced Tameka Foster.

This is shaping up to be a busy year for Usher. Aside from his marriage and a baby, he is expected to release the follow-up to his eight-million selling, Grammy-winning album “Confessions,” released in 2005. He also has a fragrance due out in September.

Usher’s stylist fiancée has laughed off reports she is pregnant with her former husband’s child.

Tameka Foster insisted it’s impossible for her to be expecting record label boss Ryan Glover’s child, because they split more than nine months ago.

She revealed, “That (rumor) is ridiculous. If that were the case, the baby would have been born already. Friends tell me about some of (the online gossip) and we’ll laugh, but honestly, I don’t pay attention to the gossip on the day-to-day.”

But Tameka Foster is keen to raise a family with the R&B superstar. She added, “I do plan to have children with Usher. This is the man I love and plan to spend the rest of my life with, so why wouldn’t I want to share that bond of bringing another life into this world with him?”

Tameka Foster, a stylist who already has three children, has recently divorced her first husband Ryan Glover. She is allegedly four months pregnant with the baby of her first husband.

A source revealed that the quick proposal happened because of the pregnancy and they plan to marry in November. The source revealed, “Usher is about to come out pretty soon about the baby and will claim it as his own.”

Publicist Simone Smalls didn’t provide any further details, although Usher, 28, has previously said he would love to marry before the end of the year.

The spokeswoman of the singer revealed last Friday that Usher is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, stylist Tameka Foster.

Another source reveals, “It is 100% official.” A friend of the singer, Usher reveals, “She (Tamaka) is wearing a beautiful ring and he has been introducing [her] as his fiancée.”
