Prince Harry has dismissed reports he’s bitter that the Spice Girls’ reunion didn’t happen in time for his Concert for Diana.

The girl group’s November 1997 gig in South Africa marked the first time Prince Harry, then 13, appeared in public since his mom’s funeral in 1997. The prince made no secret of his admiration for the group since.

Rumors surfaced earlier this year the band would stage a comeback at Sunday’s charity gig in memory of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, but last week the five-piece declared their first dates wouldn’t be until December.

However, the 22-year-old prince has denied feeling snubbed by the announcement, insisting he’s just delighted they’ve reunited at all. He revealed, “I think it’s absolutely fantastic they’ve gotten back together.”

The Spice Girls’ reunion will see the group release a greatest hits compilation and embark on an 11-date tour taking in London, New York, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Sydney, Madrid, Cologne and Beijing.

Emma Watson, a star of Harry Potter, has been voted Britain’s greatest female ambassador in a new poll.

The actress, who plays Hermione Grainger, beat off competition from Keira Knightley and Lily Allen, who came second and third respectively in the poll, carried out by “Top Of The Pops” magazine.

Peter Hart, editor of the publication, revealed, “A good ambassador needs brains and beauty, not just bags of cash.” Charlotte Church and Katie ‘Jordan’ Price were among the other ladies in the top five, while former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham found herself at the bottom of the poll.

The Spice Girls will not perform at the Concert for Diana this Sunday. The group, who recently announced they are reforming for a world tour, cannot join the line-up for the tribute show marking the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. It is because Emma Bunton is heavily pregnant.

When asked if they would be performing, Geri Halliwell revealed, “We’ve got a heavily pregnant lady here”. Emma is due to give birth to her first child in just under a month.

Mel C added, “We would have loved to be there this weekend. It’s just unfortunate timing.”

The former member of Spice Girls has told friends that her bunions are now so bad she is seriously considering having an operation to remove them.

The scale of Victoria’s painful bunion problem was laid bare recently when she was snapped in a pair of spiked Mulberry sandals. Now a friend Posh Spice revealed, “Victoria has had enough of having bad feet and has made some early-stage inquiries about having her rather unpleasant bunions removed. They are causing her a considerable amount of pain, so much so that she thinks the only thing to do is to have surgery.”

A friend added, “She knows the operation is unpleasant and she will be out of action for a while, but she thinks it may be worth it. It is something she will probably have done in the States when the family is fully settled in LA.”

Victoria revealed, “I hate my feet, they are the most disgusting thing about me. Part of the reason I wear such amazing shoes is to take the eye away from my horrid feet and on to the stunning shoes.”

A spokesman for the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists revealed, “The operation takes about an hour and is usually performed under a local anesthetic. It is important to rest for three days afterwards and stitches are usually removed after two weeks.”

Kate Middleton, the former girlfriend of Prince William has topped a list of the most fashionable celebrity hat wearers in 2007.

The 25-year-old brunette beat Victoria Beckham to the top female spot on the annual list, compiled by Luton’s millinery and hat-making industry, reports Contactmusic.
